New Rodopi OSS Enables Service Providers to Implement Turn-key Billing, Provisioning, and Customer Care for VoIP and Other IP Services

Rodopi Ships Version 5.5 of its Flagship OSS Offering

San Jose, CA, March 15, 2006: Spring 2006 VON - Rodopi Software Inc., an industry leader in new generation operations systems and software (NGOSS) and back office automation software, today announced Version 5.5 of Rodopi OSS, which introduces a series of enhancements designed to increase the agility and competitiveness of Rodopi service provider customers.

Features new to the Rodopi OSS Version 5.5 include: an enhanced VoIP Module for billing and provisioning of IP based telephony systems; a flexible policy-based rating engine, a new .Net-based customer portal, enhanced credit-card security, improved web based reporting capabilities, and a new agent portal.

  • Rodopi’s upgraded VoIP Module includes new connectors and multiple usage transmitters that enable detailed telephony billing from multiple sources. This multi-vendor adaptor technology supports a broad range of enterprise features, and makes it easy for service providers to extend billing and provisioning solutions to different customers, using different telephony systems, all via the same core Rodopi OSS solution.
  • Version 5.5’s improved Policy Based Rating capabilities allow VoIP call records to be rated based upon sophisticated policies defined by the service provider, such as call type –in-network, PSTN-to-IP, PSTN-to-PSTN, 411 directory assistance, or other classifications assigned by the service provider. All policy rating guidelines can be assigned, and managed through a web-based interface.
  • New Reporting Services allow customers to design their own online reports and management and end user reporting portals, with ready export to CVS or Excel.
