Software Engineer


The Position:

This position requires an experienced engineer capable of making significant contributions throughout the software development lifecycle. As a hands-on developer for one or more of the company’s core software products, the Software Engineer will participate in requirements gathering, unit testing, software development, deployment practices, and evaluation of emerging technologies for next-generation product development.

Requirements:
  • Experience with OOD/OOP.
  • Programming experience with .NET, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, WCF, .NET Web Services.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2000 / 2005 and T-SQL.
  • C++ experience is a plus.
  • Experience with XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX.
  • Experience with SCRUM methodology.
  • Knowledge of unit testing and test driven development.
  • Experience with MS Windows Server 2000 / 2003 and IIS. Microsoft certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity and experience with telecommunications billing, OSS, and BSS, including call detail processing, rating, and system integration is a plus.
  • Must have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.
  • Technical writing skills are a plus.
Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Work with design team and engineering leadership to design and implement new features.
  • Take “ownership” of certain modules.
  • Design and implement interfaces to third party hardware and software systems using Rodopi and third party programming tools.
  • Provide maintenance programming support.
  • Provide technical consultations and recommendations in support of sales efforts for complex system implementations.
  • Assist the support department in resolving customer issues.

Professional Services Engineer


The Position:

The Professional Services Engineer works with Rodopi customers and partners to implement application specific solutions and customization, including configuration of customer facing systems, integration with network elements and third party systems, business process automation, services design, and custom workflows. The PSE will become an expert on best practices implementation and technical specifications of Rodopi and will consult with customer’s IT and operations departments and other vendors to design state of the art web based IP business management systems.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of and experience with MS Windows Server 2000 / 2003, SQL Server 2000 / 2005 and IIS. Microsoft certification is a plus.
  • Programming experience with one or more of the following: C# / .NET, C++, Visual Studio, XML, SOAP, Web Services, HTML.
  • Must have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity and experience with telecommunications billing, OSS, and BSS, including design of services and service bundles, call detail processing, rating, and system integration.
  • Understanding of the technical setup and operation of an ISP, ASP, Web Hosting or Telecommunications company highly desirable.
  • Technical writing skills will be a plus.
Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Consult with customer technical representatives to define system requirements and implementation methodologies.
  • Perform system level design and configuration of Rodopi core software platform and ancillary modules to meet customer specific requirements.
  • Design and implement interfaces to third party hardware and software systems using Rodopi and third party programming tools.
  • Provide technical consultations and recommendations in support of sales efforts for complex system implementations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new features and new functionality in the Rodopi product and customer specific implementations.
  • Interact with the development team in bug reporting and resolution.
  • Assist sales department and provide pre-sales technical support as required.
  • Review current training courses and suggest and implement improvements.
  • Assist in improving and restructuring implementation best practices and customer documentation as required.

Customer Technical Support


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and experience with MS Windows Server 2000 / 2003, SQL Server 2000 and IIS.

  • Assist with customer training classes in our facility or a customer’s facility as required.
  • Interact with the development team in bug reporting and resolution.
  • Assist sales department and provide pre-sales technical support as required.
  • Assist in improving and restructuring training curriculum and customer documentation.

Senior Sales Executive

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial Senior Sales Executive who is experienced in selling business software systems.
  • Professional and self-motivated with a track record of significant (recent) success in same or related industry with a recognized market leader.
  • Understand how to produce successful sales proposals, manage complex sales cycles, and how to engage in effective solution sales.
  • A basic understanding of applying web and networking technology to solve customer business, operational, and service challenges.
  • 5 years of direct sales experience, with leverage through partner relationships.
  • Ability to effectively use local and corporate resources to close sales.
  • Billing, operational support, and process support software sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of internet, voice-over-IP, Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, and .NET is a plus.
  • Position located in San Diego, California. Minimal travel required for trade shows and client visits.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Achievement of defined revenue goals.
  • Identifying and qualifying new prospects through outbound calling, web and phone leads.
  • Reporting on sales progression and attainment of goals and quota.
  • Writing and presenting sales proposals, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Presenting to senior level client contacts across multiple functional areas.
  • Building and maintaining ongoing consultative client relationships.
  • Developing an understanding of our technology, and staying current with Industry trends.
